Holding the TRX handles while performing squats is an excellent way to bring stability and safety while increasing your range of motion with a regular squat. Hold the handles of the TRX and step back until you have tension in the straps. Set your feet shoulder width and point your toes out slightly. Slowly sit towards the ground, keeping your weight evenly centered over your feet. Do not allow your heels to rise from the ground as you lower yourself to a depth where you have to use the strength of your arms for assistance. At this point, your knees should be just over or perhaps an inch or two back from your toes.
